The “Benvenuto Tour de France” initiative, supported by agritourism Emilia Romagna, together with the Agricycle Club of Excellence, will start at the cycling fair from April 5 to 7 in Bologna.

“Slow tourism is increasingly convincing Italians and foreigners, the bicycle economy is flourishing. We want to design international itineraries before and during the Grande Boucle, agro-bike tours and tasting stops with local gastronomic specialties – jams, cheeses and cured meats – that include the symbols of the French bakery, baguettes and croissants, to promote the stages of the Tour in Emilia-Romagna and to accompany cycling lovers along key routes dotted with vines and olive trees, passing farms, cellars and dairies,” explains Gianpietro Bisagni, president of Agriturist Emilia Romagna and the Agricycle excellence club, an agritourism association that always meets. the needs of recreational, sports and cultural tourism with a focus on sustainable mobility, slow walking and experiential activities.

There are many points of passage of the legendary cycling race from Premilcuore to Santa Sofia, Sarsina and Novafeltria (on June 29 in the first stage starting from Florence to the finish in Rimini), then from Cesenatico to Faenza, Riolo Terme, Imola to Bologna (June 30) and the following day the third stage from Piacenza to Turin. “It is a unique opportunity in which we are the protagonists with our hospitality, family welcome – adds Bisagni – to raise awareness of the interior areas and rural communities, develop tourist flows and attract new visitors from abroad”.
